Zurich, the largest city of Switzerland is a beautiful city which is located at the end of Zurich lakes and near to the Alps. It is bordered by wooded hills on east and west borders. The picturesque landscape of the city looks more beautiful during winter seasons. With snow covered roads and tress, the entire city will be painted in white during winter seasons. When we start thinking about a family tour, the pictures of snow filled streets came in our minds and we finalized for Zurich as the destination.

Whenever we are going for a family tour we always prefer inexpensive flight tickets. Hence the first step of our journey was search of flight tickets for low prices. Being an important tourist spot, most of the airlines tickets such as Air Canada, US Airways etc are plying flights to Zurich on a daily basis. There are several other airlines, which are operating flights to Zurich also. We have purchased cheap tickets to Zurich and flew on the designated day.

The first place we went was Limmat Valley which consists of many hills and waterfalls. The nature there was really beautiful and we all enjoyed the scenes seen outside the window of the bus. The driver stopped at two of three spots and the passengers, most of whom were tourists got down from the bus at those points and took photography at different angles.

The next destination was Zurich Lake. A boating in this lake was really a good experience for our children. No doubt that we too enjoyed the trip. Most of other sites of importance are situated on both sides of the Limmat River. Lindenhof, a Roman castle figures top among them. The architecture and the silence prevailed there really created a mythological atmosphere which will certainly bring you back to several centuries. I remembered one of my friends saying after visiting this place long back. He promised that in solitude he has seen many historical events. On that day I just dismissed it as a psychic phenomenon, but after visiting the site I too felt that what he was telling is true.

Zurich People

The people of Zurich are known for their hospitality and decent behaviors. They are very good at cooking too. These two things made our trip unforgettable as even now we used to remind the hospitality of the hotel staff and the taste of food served there. There are many restaurants where the traditional food is being served. In most of the restaurants, along with the traditional food you will get other dishes too such as Chinese and Continental.

Even after returning from Zurich, my children were talking about the experiences during the trip. It took a lot of time for them to get out of the hangover. The trip was such a wonderful one without doubt.
